Entomology Research Laboratory

Entomology Research laboratory is a laboratory where field samples of various insects groups collected from different geographical regions in Turkey are brought and preserved in alcohol to be used for laboratory practices on entomology courses in graduate and postgraduate levels. The laboratory also allows experts to do scientific identifications of insect specimens (especially Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera, Hemiptera, Odanata and Coleoptera) for further use in scientific production and museum material. In this laboratory, postgraduate students carry out their thesis studies in the field of systematic entomology. The laboratory is equipped with 39 binocular stereo microscopes and an office type computer.
